“She had blue skin, and so did he…” – Shel Silverstein
Before love transformed our lives, we were two people existing in what felt like desaturated worlds. We were artistically gagged – colorless. If you’ve found your soul mate, then you know that love changes everything. So it was with our art.
Together, we create pieces that are filled with vitality and passion – a visual parallel to our relationship. Color explodes with joy. Texture and lines intermingle playfully. We’ve found that our work excels because we are equal contributors to its evolution. Our finished pieces are a tangible artifact of our love for each other and a symbol of our united journey.
The lives of other artists are our greatest inspiration. We laugh with the impressionists as they thrust a middle finger at the art critics of their time. We empathize with Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s companionship. The connection between Pollock and Krasner both charms and dismays us. Other artists’ stories remind us that love is irrevocably bound to art, and we are thrilled to be a part of the adventure.
Because of the textural nature of our work, we warmly encourage attendees of our solo exhibitions to touch the art. We believe that this contact enriches your experience and allows for a deeper internalization of the body of work. We truly hope you enjoy the opportunity to connect with our pieces at a closer level.
